Programs-Youth -School Programs


Traditional and Year Round School Programs Closing/Inclement Weather Policy
Any student currently enrolled in Early Arrival, After School, Track Out, or Schools Out Specials Program.
Please tune to local news for further information about YMCA Program closing.

Off-Site YMCA Programs (programs located at a school, etc.)

IF SCHOOLS…

  • ARE DELAYED, off-site morning programs are delayed by the same amount of time. (For example, if schools start two hours late, Early Arrivals will start two hours late.)
  • CLOSE EARLY, off-site youth programs will be closed. YMCA transportation will not pick up students from schools. Parents must pick up students from schools.
  • ARE CLOSED, off-site youth programs are closed.




On-Site YMCA Programs (program located at 101 YMCA Drive)

IF SCHOOLS…

  • ARE DELAYED, on-site youth programs (including Tracking Out and Adam’s Early Arrivals) will open if we are able to (1) open the facility and (2) determine that our staff can safely get to work. We will only serve children currently registered for Tracking Out and Adam’s Early Arrivals for that day.
  • CLOSE EARLY, on-site After School programs and Tracking Out will be closed. YMCA transportation will not pick up students from schools. Parents must pick up students from schools. The YMCA will not transport children to school sites. Parents must pick up children from YMCA Tracking Out immediately. (This only applies to school closings due to inclement weather.)
  • ARE CLOSED, on-site Early Arrivals and After School programs will be closed.
  • ARE CLOSED, on-site Tracking Out programs will open if we are able to (1) open the facility and (2) determine that our staff can safely get to work. We will only serve children registered for Tracking Out for that day.



Preschool Programs
The Preschool programs do not always follow Wake County’s decisions in regards to delays and closings. We will open the Preschool if we are able to (1) open the facility and (2) determine that our staff can safely get to work.

Contact: It is the parent's responsibility to call the YMCA Weather Line at 469-8675, ext. 184, to determine if the Tracking Out or SOS programs will operate. We may run on an abbreviated schedule.
